I urge you to please vote against new gun control measures. Our second amendment rights are granted by the United States Constitution of which the same does not give the government authority not granted specifically to it within. It plainly states within the second amendment that it shall not be infringed and what I am seeing proposed cannot in any way be construed as anything other than blatant infringement. Such infringement according to 16 Am Jur 2d, Sec 177 late 2d, Sec 256 states that even if our government passes a (gun control) law that is not strictly in line with the powers granted to the Government within the constitution then said law is not enforceable as it is unconstitutional (due to it’s infringement). Rights not specifically granted to the Government are reserved for the States and/or the People. Innocent Citizens should not be punished for the crimes of the few; no matter how bad those crimes are. I and my family should not be held responsible for the recent massacre’s. I should be allowed as granted by the constitution to protect myself and my precious family with Arms if need be and those Arms should not be limited so as I would be at a disadvantage against a Criminal destined to inflict deadly harm.

I don’t write to you to be trouble, but there are plenty of legitimate reasons for law abiding citizens to maintain, carry, and sufficiently equip their Arms with ammunition without attaching additional taxes nor infringing restrictions. It will be a sad time in this country when free law abiding and voting American Citizens can be criminalized and pushed through the courts for breaking a law that should not even be a law to begin with. I disagree with new legislation infringing on our second amendment rights as I believe they are one of our most sacred and fundamental rights in our great country.

I hope that you will stand with your constituents against infringement of our constitutional right to bear arms.
